As previously reported in this portal, as of this Monday, February 1, adults over 60 years old will be able to register on the Baja California Health Secretariat's website (www.saludbc.gob.mx) to receive the vaccine against COVID-19, in anticipation of the next shipment of doses that will arrive between February 14 and 16.

Although it had been commented that the page would be open from 8:00 a.m., this Monday the head of this office, Alonso Pérez Rico, commented that it will be open from 12:00 noon, remaining available for two weeks.

After these two weeks it will be available for another age range, so for the moment only adults over 60 years of age will be able to register, said the Secretary of Health.

What information will I be asked for? At the beginning of the registration process there will be some questions regarding your health (if you are not sure about any of the questions, these will be reviewed before being vaccinated), also, among the information that will be requested are CURP, if you belong to any health institution, full name, date of birth, sex, mail (no matter if you don't have one), telephone number, etc.

What happens if I do not have CURP? In case of not having the CURP, Pérez Rico asked the population not to register and to contact Bienestar Federal or the Health Secretariat of this state.

At the same time, he reminded the importance of providing the zip code, since based on it they will be able to schedule the date to receive the vaccine and will have the address where they should go for the vaccination.

How do I register if I belong to a nursing home? According to the doctor, in the boxes where you should put address and telephone number, you should register the information of the nursing home or home for the elderly where you are.

If I was called by phone, would I have to register on this page? According to the authority, if you have received a call from Bienestar Federal, you will no longer have to register on this page.

Knowing that there are several elderly people who hesitate to get the antiCOVID vaccine for different reasons, the Secretary invited the population of this sector to register only if they are sure to be vaccinated, this in order to know how many people want to be vaccinated, where they are located, and the number of doses that will be needed.
