On January 30, the executive order of the current president of the United States, Joe Biden, went into effect. As we well know, before it was possible to enter the country by air, but since a few weeks ago it will only be possible to enter with a negative coronavirus test. In addition to this, some flights have been banned since the 30th of last month.

The suspension of entry is for travelers flying from the Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Brazil, China and Iran, and the restriction has been extended to travelers coming from South Africa.

This, of course, does not affect U.S. citizens or residents traveling to or from these locations. In addition, the State Department website reported that there are certain exceptions such as foreign diplomats traveling on A or G visas.

In addition, family members of U.S. citizens may enter as long as they are spouses, children under 21 years of age and unmarried siblings under 21 years of age. There are also exceptions for people traveling by sea with C, D, C1 and D visas.

Mexicans continue with the possibility of traveling to the country, but it must be for a valid reason considered essential and if it is by air must present a negative test and also have an essential reason to be able to enter the country, otherwise there is a risk of a visa cancellation.
