However, it is also estimated that Mexico has already exceeded two million cases of coronavirus, according to a calculation based on the number of registered infections, the percentage of positivity and the epidemiological association.

Regarding the epidemiological traffic light that is registered in each state of the Mexican Republic, the Federal Health Secretariat maintains 13 states in red color since last week: Colima, Mexico City, Mexico State, Guerrero, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo Leon, Puebla, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi.

17 states remain in orange: Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Michoacan, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, Sonora, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Yucatan and Zacatecas. Campeche and Chiapas continue to be the states with the lowest number of registered cases, with yellow traffic lights.

Globally, Mexico remains in third place in the list of countries with the highest mortality rate. Brazil remains in second place with 230 thousand 34 deaths and the United States leads the "top" by accumulating more than 459 thousand deaths.

The population is reminded to avoid leaving their homes as much as possible, as well as to continue with preventive measures such as the use of masks, constant hand washing and constant disinfection of surfaces.
