A few hours ago, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported through social media that the town of Ramona, located in San Diego County, California, broke its own record by registering a temperature of 28 degrees Fahrenheit this Wednesday morning, March 17.

Since 2008, the Californian city's record was 29° F, but due to the big freeze that still covers the southwestern region of the United States, the temperature has dropped even further, now standing at 28°F.

On the St. Patrick's Day holiday in the United States, weather authorities announced that while temperatures are slowly beginning to rise, most locations in San Diego still remain 5 degrees below average.

They also asked the population to take precautions in the presence of bad weather, recommending to avoid going out as much as possible and to wear warm clothes, as well as to follow the sanitary measures that have been implemented so far due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has been raging in the United States for a year now.

In general terms, the NWS reported that currently the maximum temperature in the state of San Diego is 57°F, while the minimum temperature is around 41°F. During the rest of the week the region will present partly cloudy weather, with winds ranging from 11 to 24 miles per hour.
