For more than a year now, people with tourist visas have been unable to cross the border into the United States for other than essential reasons. This came to change the custom of many Tijuanenses who enjoyed doing their weekend shopping in San Diego stores.
Between Ross, Marshalls, Walmart or Target, you don't know which store you miss the most, however, one of the most missed is the 99 Cents Only Stores in San Ysidro, where you could find practically everything from clothing to groceries, home decorations and accessories for your garden, all for great prices.
Fortunately, for those who want to get some of the store's products, they can review items and place orders through a Facebook group called 99 Cents Only Stores of San Ysidro, where those who can cross into San Diego post new products coming into the store.
The Facebook group opened in August 2020 and currently has more than 15,500 members. The page works as follows: people who cross the products show pictures on the wall of what is in the stores.
From there, those who observed an item of interest say what they would like to purchase and depending on the trust between people, you can buy and give the payment on delivery or return another day with the cash for the product, there are even people who handle transfers.
This is an excellent option for people who had as part of their routine to shop in this type of stores. In addition to 99 Cents Only Stores, some people advertise that they also take orders from Walmart, Costco, Target and others. If you want to check to see if there is something you are interested in, just click here.
Note: the group is private so you will have to wait to be accepted before you can access the day's information.
