These 6 neighborhoods of Tijuana have active COVID-19 cases

There are 317 active cases in the State, 87 of which are located in Tijuana

Baja California has accumulated 47 thousand 615 confirmed cases of COVID-19, in addition to 7 thousand 970 deaths, so far in the pandemic.

However, 317 cases are still active in the State, 206 of them concentrated in Mexicali, 87 in Tijuana, 12 in Ensenada, six in Tecate, three in Rosarito, two in San Quintín and one in San Felipe.

In order to avoid an increase in the number of infections and to reinforce prevention measures, the head of the Secretariat of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, announced the neighborhoods where most of these active cases are located:

  • Tijuana: Laurel, Maclovio Rojas, Camino Verde, Valle Vista II, Buena Vista and Salvatierra.
  • Tecate: Emiliano Zapata, Burócratas, Guajardo, Cuauhtémoc and Colinas del Cuchuma Norte.
  • Rosarito: La Obrera, Ampliación Reforma, Lucio Blanco and Lomas de Rosarito.
  • Mexicali: Valle del Pedregal, Pueblo Nuevo, Miraflores, Héroe de Nacozari and Ejidatarios CCI.
  • Mexicali Valley: Lázaro Cárdenas, Nuevo León, Guadalupe Victoria, Delta-Oaxaca, México, Benito Juárez, Querétaro and Jalisco.
  • San Felipe: First Section San Felipe.
  • Ensenada: Jalisco and Villa Residencial del Sol.
  • San Quintín: Nuevo Baja California and Rubén Jaramillo.

If you are one of the people who live, work or circulate in these neighborhoods, authorities invite you to be even more careful and avoid crowded places.

In the last 24 hours, Baja California registered 80 new cases of coronavirus: 55 reported in Mexicali, 21 in Tijuana, two in Ensenada and two more in San Quintín. In turn, Tijuana was where the last two deaths due to this disease were registered, in the same period of hours.
