A long wait and an evident delay in the crossing to the United States was present at the Otay Border crossing after users reported an abnormality.

Border Patrol agents have closed the lanes on the right side by placing orange cones and diverting vehicles horizontally along a line to the left side.

So far, CBP has not clarified why this strategy was chosen.

Early in the morning, Facebook user Jr Soto Molina uploaded some photos to the group "Cómo Está la Línea Oficial", indicating that "they are using our cars to block the people who run through".

Recently the wait has normalized and there are 9 lines open in Otay with an average wait of 1 hour.
