Baja California reaches 50 thousand COVID-19 infections

In the last 24 hours, 90 new cases were registered in the State of Baja California

So far in the pandemic, 50 thousand and 43 people in Baja California have tested positive for COVID-19, informed this morning the Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico.

Most of these cases were registered in Mexicali, with 19 thousand 529, followed by Tijuana with 18 thousand 122, Ensenada with 6 thousand 979, San Quintin with 2 thousand and 13, Tecate with one thousand 590, Rosarito with one thousand and 96 and San Felipe with 714.

According to the head of this agency, in the last 24 hours 90 new cases were added in the State, of which 50 belong to Mexicali, 30 to Tijuana, seven to Ensenada, two to Tecate and one to Rosarito.

Regarding the number of people who have lost their lives due to this disease in the region, 8 thousand 551 have accumulated, 3 thousand 878 of these deaths occurred in Tijuana, while 3 thousand 167 were in the State capital, one thousand 144 in Ensenada, 195 in Tecate, 127 in San Quintin, 31 in Rosarito and nine in San Felipe.

According to Pérez Rico, in the last hours there were also 12 deaths in Mexicali and four in Tijuana.

As of Saturday, there are still 346 active cases of coronavirus in the state, 201 of which are located in the Mexicali territory, 93 in Tijuana, 30 in Ensenada, 11 in Rosarito, six in Tecate, three in San Felipe and two in San Quintin.
