Baja Californians who are waiting to get their first dose of a vaccine against COVID-19 will be able to do so next week, commented Health Secretary Alonso Pérez Rico this Saturday during his daily report.

"Today in the morning we were able to contact the highest authorities in terms of vaccination in our territory, and an action was taken, which was authorized," he mentioned.

This consists of acquiring a shipment of Pfizer vaccine to be applied as a first dose in people over 18 years of age.

Although at the moment he did not give details regarding the municipalities where the vaccine will be applied, he said that in the following days the vaccination points that will be set up for this population will be announced.

Finally, he added, "we continue with the efforts to obtain more vaccines for our territory".
