Canada has announced that it will relax measures for U.S. citizens who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus. For this reason, weeks ago they announced that they will take very seriously the proof of vaccination to enter the country.

Likewise, they announced that if false information is presented, they could be fined up to 75 thousand Canadian dollars or spend at least 6 months in prison. However, despite these warnings, it was reported that tourists entering Toronto provided false information.

According to what was reported by the website Canadian Tourism, the tourists coming from the United States committed a series of irregularities: to begin with, they did not comply with the Canadian quarantine, forged proof of vaccination and negative COVID-19 tests.

In total, they will have to pay four fines of 19,720 Canadian dollars.

It is recalled that the four vaccines that are approved by the Canadian health authorities are AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer. CanSino, Sputnik and others are awaiting approval.
