Tijuana City Hall and DAM provide support to people in mobility situations

In collaboration with the DAM and the non-profit organization, World Central Kitchen, the Tijuana City Hall manages food and hygiene assistance for people in this situation

The XXIII City Hall of Tijuana, through the Direction of Attention to Immigrants (DAM) carried out various humanitarian supports for people in mobility conditions, who come to the institution to request documents or receive the necessary orientation for their paperwork or the safe return to their places of origin.

The head of the area, José Luis Pérez Canchola, highlighted that the food support, as well as hygiene products destined for the people who arrive every day to Tijuana from Central America, other states of the Republic and the deported population, were donated by the World Central Kitchen organization.

The food packages are breakfasts that are made up of a sandwich, an apple, a juice and a granola bar, in order to provide them with at least one meal a day, while the hygiene products are razors, sanitary pads, among others, explained the official.

It is important to emphasize that the non-governmental organization World Central Kitchen, founded in 2010, is dedicated to the provision of meals around the world when natural disasters occur.
