This Monday morning, October 4, the Ambassor Bridge border crossing, a bridge located between the Canadian and U.S. borders, had to close due to information related to possible explosives in the area.

According to The Sun news portal, two Windsor police officers were the ones who responded to this call for help through the emergency number and went to the bridge. After this, everyone on the bridge ran to different locations.

As a result, there was an increase in vehicular traffic and Windsor police announced that alternate routes would be taken, and at the same time asked to avoid the area.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) acknowledged that this affects both travelers and industry and that they are working to restore normal border operations at this port of entry.

So far, all that is known is that the unit in charge of checking for explosives sent a robot to check the indicated area, however, it has not been confirmed whether the warning was real or just to generate panic.
