Due to Covid-19 contagions, there will be a decrease in community activities

According to the information provided by the Baja California scientific health committee, the state updated new details on a decrease in active cases due to Covid-19, having a total of 2,314.

The doctor Nestor Hernandez Milan, head of the Evaluation and Follow-up unite of ISESALUD, indicated that during the last 24 hours, there had been 47 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and eight deaths reported. He explained that 2,314 active cases and 1,980 are outpatient cases; 224 are hospitalized but not incubated, while 104 cases are hospitalized and intubated, of which 98% did not have any dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and therefore the importance of immunization.

The COVID classification Mexico uses traffic light colors. Right now, Baja California is orange, which implies a reduction in community mobility to a 50% capacity, which brings schools to a new way of operating, including masks in all public areas. It was also reported that the events might occur in the region due to the high risk of contagion.

They pointed out that, if necessary, hospital units will be adapted to expand the Covid-19 care capacity and guarantee care for all patients because hospital occupancy is above 50%.
