From June 2 to 13, the State Center of Arts (CEART) of Playas de Rosarito will become the main stage for mosaic art with the “2nd International Mosaic Symposium Mexico,” an event backed by Mayor Rocío Adame.

This artistic celebration will bring together 12 renowned creators from countries such as Canada, Brazil, the United States, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Japan, and Mexico, who will create pieces inspired by gender, migration, and cultural diversity themes.
This international event will be led by Aída Valencia and Giulio Menossi, who will be in charge of the symposium’s artistic direction and curation. Menossi, with experience organizing similar events in countries like Argentina, Italy, and Turkey, has selected artists known for their contemporary and experimental approach to mosaic art.

Work sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., requiring both precision and creativity from the artists. Aída Valencia emphasized that such events present a constant challenge, as time is always a pressing factor when completing pieces of great technical complexity.
On June 14, an official exhibit of the finished works will take place, showcasing the variety of styles, approaches, and techniques in contemporary mosaic art, open for the public to enjoy.

The convention will also include a series of free and open-access conferences. Thanks to the support of authorities like Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito, this event represents a valuable opportunity to introduce the community to mosaic art as a living, diverse, and borderless form of expression.
