TIJUANA/SAN DIEGO.- Moving up to Thursdays so you can get a head start on things, here is a list of activities that are sure to motivate you in to trying new things. Of course, we can always visit our favorite bar or have a house party just for the sake of having fun with our friends, but if your looking to step out a little bit out of your routine, we have for you some events for Saturday and Sunday. Friday, June 26th



Movies By The Lake In San Diego

Why go to your everyday movie theater when you can watch a film under the stars, among friends and just pay for parking. Forget about hiding chocolate in your girlfriend's purse, here, you can eat all you can carry inside your trunk.



This Friday, Alexander And The Terrible Horrible No Good Day will be screening, and a classic, The Goonies (July 10th), and afterwards Big Hero 6 (July 24th).

Pepper Contest At Tacos Kokopelli

The second 'taste buds vs. hot peppers' contest returns to the city in order to challenge its contestants tolerance to pepper's spiciness. An ideal challenge for all of those who think they're 'hot stuff' and go around saying they can take a lot. Believe us we when say, that an Habanero pepper will be the least of your fears in this competition.



This is event is scheduled to have a menu of 10 rounds (with the possibility of extension), where its contestants will have to eat everything from tajin, chipotle, jalapeños, grilled habaneros up to a secret sauce called 'Lucifer's Tears'.



Registry is free of cost, and the contest will be divided into a female and male category. Winners will earn the right of free tacos for a year, as well as beer and other gifts from the event's sponsors. Register at Kokopelli o via e-mail at: chiletj@hotmail.com

Kinky Unplugged

Kinky's distinctive electronic sound will take on a different venue alongside new instruments and musical arrangements in order to perform an acoustic version of all the songs fans love.



Continuing with MTV's Unplugged, the band has taken their repertoire throughout the Mexican country, leaving Tijuana as their grand finale.

Beer Fest In Rosarito

Although most events take place in Tijuana and San Diego, we can never leave out one or two events that take place somewhere else, specially if were talking about Rosarito, a neighbor to the south and not to far, so you can attend events even if we don't have a car.



So if you love beer, and/or are a craft beer expert: This event is for you.



This is the second edition of Rosarito's Beer Fest, which will have the presence of brewers from the entire state. Favorite beer? Surely here you will be able to find it, as well as the traditional styles of Porter, Stout, Brown Ale, IPA, fruity flavors, mint and even ginger.

Nineteen year old blogger, Mario Bautista, became popular thanks to Vine, Facebook, and Twitter gaining over 851,000 followers.



A natural comedian and now singer, Bautista is an irreverent character, and even has a fandom called "Bautisters." If you know any of them, this event might be for them.
