TIJUANA.- September and Labor Day weekend has just begun, which means Fiestas Patrias (Mexican Independence celebrations) are here for the next two weeks, so you will be able to enjoy fair attractions and really good concerts Tijuana has for you through this time.



On the other hand, if you would like to avoid certain places because they're expensive or you're not in the mood to deal with crowds, then here are some ideas for this weekend.



Friday September 2





1.- Festiarte





An event whose mission is to get "Tijuanenses" in touch with different art expressions (visual, plastic, fashion, cuisine, etc.) There would be 4 stages where national and international artists will perform. This event will start on Friday September 2 and it will end on Sunday September 4.

2.- Méliès Autocinema





On Thursday 1st,

the opening of Méliès Drive-IN theater took place at Parque de la Amistad, and it will have two movie projections in both days of the weekend. If you don't have a car is okay, for you can enter on foot and settle in a special area. The movies are "Back to the Future" and "The Exorcist."

3.- Punkeando TJ





Punkeando is a platform that seeks to help publicize national and international bands that already have a good career or are barely emerging. This year's show will take place in Mexico City, but some guys have decided to organize themselves and have one in Tijuana, where Baja California bands that can't go due to distance or lack of time will perform.

5.- Megadeth





This show will be a unique performance, for the first time, the famous band of trash metal, Megadeth, will perform in Tijuana. This concert is part of their world tour Dystopia.
