5 Horror Films For The Holiday Season

We know Christmas is one of Christianity's most important festivities and that talking about it means talking about peace, joy, love, happiness and presents. However, the holiday season doesn't stop horrifying scenes in the film industry.

Throughout time, plenty of horror films have premiered during this season with a Christmas theme involved. Some of which are very memorable.

Here are some titles that put Christmas as their background of horror:

1.Gremlins

Aside from being a classic horror film, it is also a cult movie that mixes terror with comedy in an excellent way. Gremlins was a total success in the box-office in 1984 followed by its sequel Gremlins 2: The New Generation, in 1990.

2.Black Christmas-1974

A movie about some college girls, who try to have a peaceful Christmas until a mysterious murderer kills them one by one.

3.Silent Night

In this movie, a terrifying Santa Claus, traumatized by witnessing his parent's murder as a child, will murder anyone who crosses his path with no mercy whatsoever.

4.Christmas Evil

A psychopath dressed as Santa Claus decides who's been naughty or nice, giving a special present to each member of a specific family.

5.Jack Frost

Jack, someone who has been persecuted by the police for five years after committing several murders, gets impregnated with acid on a truck while he's driving away from cops. His body merges with the ice and acid, making him reincarnate into a psychopathic snowman.
