Riders will gear up for a scenic 85-kilometer (roughly 53-mile) journey down the Baja California coast next month, as the Castro-Limón Foundation hosts its “Pedaleando 2.0” cycling event to raise critical funds for children battling cancer.

Scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, the ride will mark the foundation’s final sporting event of the year. It invites the community to participate in a meaningful trek from the iconic Rosarito Beach Hotel to the finish line at Playa Hermosa in Ensenada.

The core mission of the event is to help cover the medical treatments for five children in Baja California who are currently receiving free care through the foundation.

Beyond the cause, participants are promised an unparalleled coastal ride, featuring postcard-worthy vistas throughout the journey.

Upon arrival in Ensenada, cyclists will be welcomed with a family-friendly festival at Viñedos Bibayoff. The post-ride celebration will include massage stations, hydration, food zones with ocean views, and other entertainment.

To ensure rider safety and comfort, hydration stations will be strategically placed along the route in the following locations:

  • Halfway Point: 20.3 km
  • La Misión: 47.7 km
  • Upper La Misión: 60.2 km
  • Cuatro Cuartos: 71.4 km

The foundation is offering two ticket tiers: a General Admission ticket for $700 pesos ($38 USD) and an Elite ticket for $800 pesos ($44 USD).

Participation is open to individuals over 18 years of age. For those without their own equipment, bicycle rentals will be available on the day of the event starting at $450 pesos ($25 USD).

Tickets are available at multiple locations in Tijuana, Mexicali, Ensenada, Tecate, and Rosarito, but you can also click here to buy tickets online through the foundation’s Eventbrite page.

Iván González, Director of the Castro-Limón Foundation, has set a goal of selling 3,000 tickets for the event to raise much-needed funds to support children and their families who turn to the foundation seeking help with treatments that are impossible for them to afford.
