This is why we share with you five things you probably did not know about it and that will make you schedule a visit immediately.
1.- It is the only one and is located in Tijuana
The Tijuana Aquarium is the only one of its kind in the state of Baja California, it has a surface area of 300 square meters and is located inside the facilities of the Tijuana Cultural Center.
2.- It has more than 500 specimens
Th Aquarium offers a sample of marine species from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of California; includes freshwater fish; 12 species native of the region, 41 species from different parts of the world and 13 Australian corals, as well as a jellyfish and a freshwater turtle species.
3.- You can have spectacular photos
If you like photography this is the right place. Capturing the species found in the Aquarium is a good opportunity to test your skills in the world of photography.
4.- You can be surrounded by dozens of fish without getting into a swimming pool
One of the attractions of the Aquarium is to be able to introduce part of the body into a fish tank so that you can feel and observe it as if you were inside it and appreciate the differente species from a better perspective. Do not forget to take a picture.
5.- They are celebrating 5 years since the opening
It was on November 26, 2012 when the doors were open to the public, and this year they will be commemorating their first five years.
6.- Children have free admission on Saturdays and Sundays
Other days the general admission costs $3.00 dlls while children from 3 to 11 years old pay only $2.00 dlls.
