Kiko Vega meets with U.S. Consul in Tijuana

Andrew S. E. Erickson and governor-elect Kiko Vega begin the binational relationship

TIJUANA.-Francisco "Kiko" Vega de Lamadrid, who is the newly elected Governor of Baja California, met with the U.S. consul general in Tijuana, Andrew S. E. Erickson, who talked about the bilateral relationship and about the programs that this diplomatic entity conducts in the State in coordination with local authorities.

In the courtesy visit at the Consulate of the United States, located in this border city, Kiko Vega highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships with consular authorities and the bilateral cooperation efforts.

In that sense the Governor Elect acknowledged that this coordination that has been achieved between the U.S. Consulate General in Tijuana and the state government, has brought good results for the benefit of Baja California, with actions in regards to the image enhancement and perception of the region, efforts to speed up border crossings, environment, trade and tourism development, among others.

Kiko Vega- as head of the new state government administration- once again demonstrated his willingness to strengthen the coordination with the Consulate General of the United States in Tijuana.
