On March 9, 2013 in the state of Jalisco, Mexico 7 year old Jonathan Avalos Ortiz died, due to an injury that was caused to him by another 13 year old boy name "Beto", who assaulted him and dipped his head into a toilet in order for him to give up his money.



This incident originally took place last month, which immediately after Jonathan confessed to his grandmother of what had happen at school. His grandmother then rushed him to the emergency room at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), where one of their doctors just diagnosed the young boy with a stomach infection.

However, the young 7 year old victim's parents decided to take him again to the IMSS on Wednesday, February 20, after the young boy was still in poor health conditions. The doctor this time ordered for him to go and get some x-ray done urgently, because an infection was detected in his lungs.



As Jonathan was being transfer to the IMSS Medical Center in Guadalajara, he suffered three cardiac arrests along the way and was resurrected every time to keep him came alive. Unfortunately the young boy did not make it to the hospital and died on the morning of March 9.



The child's parents have now filed a complaint against all of those who are responsible for Jonathan's death, which includes school authorities and the doctor who misdiagnosed their son.



Jonathan's parents both work on a pig farm and together earn just over one hundred dollars a week. They asked for some help to raise funds to cover funeral expenses for their son, and are also demanding justice from the authorities.
