CONOCER Baja Californian’s work skills are certified

This agreement will allow people who do not have a high level of formal education but that, nonetheless, are excellent workers to obtain a document certifying their skills and abilities.

In recent years, Baja California has emerged as a state with a workforce highly skilled in industries in which complex production tasks are required to be performed, such as in the medical and aerospace industries; however, it is necessary to certify workers to support their knowledge, skills and attitudes, and to thereby provide investors with greater certainty about Baja California’s workforce.

Aware of this matter, last June, the state government of Baja California and the National Council for Standardization and Certification of Labor Competencies (CONOCER) signed a collaboration agreement and participated in the installation ceremony of the State Board of Certification.

This agreement will allow people who do not have a high level of formal education but that, nonetheless, are excellent workers to obtain a document certifying their skills and abilities. The program will apply for the certification and training of workers, public servants and teachers throughout the state.
