Films from Tijuana make Mexico's top 10 of the year

Forbes released its top 10 Mexican films of 2014

Forbes has released its best Mexican films of 2014 list, on which two non-stop talked about films appeared. The first one is "Los Hamsters" from Gilberto Gonzalez, a movie filmed entirely in Tijuana with local actors. This film tells the story of a dysfunctional family, a known subject used by the director. "Los Hamsters" is a movie that claims to be a simple story, it's a real shame it didn't last that long in theaters.

The second one, is the much awarded "Navajazo" from Ricardo Silva, which has won an impressive amount of festivals worldwide, raising people's attention and creating positive and negative comments. "Navajazo" is a film with a strong and real content, which doesn't allow a neutral posture, you either hate or love it, however, it has helped the national film scene to turn its view again towards the northern part of the country.
