The "Globally, Broad Support for Representative and Direct Democracy" study by the Pew Research Center in Washington, USA, has just found that in Mexico 93% of the population disagrees with the functioning of the democratic system.

Of 36 countries surveyed, Mexicans and Lebanese are the most dissatisfied, because nine out of ten inhabitants claim their political system doesn't work well.

The triggering question was how satisfied are you with the way democracy works in your country?
In these 36 countries, including the USA, Canada, France, Japan, Israel, Nigeria, Venezuela and Mexico, among others, an average of 46% responded "very or somewhat satisfied" while 52% indicated "not being very satisfied or not at all satisfied".

At the bottom of the list, Mexico voted only 6% in satisfaction, even below countries like Brazil and Venezuela, which have an 18% approval rating. Mexico being the place where society represents the lowest levels of distrust for its government.
