SAN DIEGO.- The San Diego Padres have done some changes in their game plan this Spring, given that they transferred their left-handed pitcher, Alex Torres to the New York Mets, while being replaced with prospect Cory Mazzoni as well as a new player that has yet to be revealed.
Mazzoni (25), played for the El Paso season where he achieved 7 victories throughout 14 openings. He also played in Las Vegas obtaining a 5-1 record by striking out 75 baters.
This was second round selection that originated in North Carolina in 2011, his total record is 24-12. Alex Torres is famous for his fast ball and slider.
The Venezuelan pitcher played 70 games for the Padres last season, his first two years he played professionally for Tampa Bay's Rays.
