Beyond the well-trodden paths of this bustling border city lies a different kind of mystery. For 25 years, Lilith Mystery Attic has served as a sanctuary, café, and clubhouse for a community of witches, wizards, and spiritual seekers, earning it a local reputation as the “Warren of Tijuana.”

The space was founded to provide a safe haven for individuals with different abilities and skills. As the self-described house witch, founder Amy explains that the center is not a religious site but a hub for diverse spiritualities.

“We opened this space so that people with different abilities can develop them, train, and learn more.”

She added that witchcraft is still stigmatized by a large part of society, and what “Lilith Mystery Attic” seeks is to provide a safe place for everyone where a wide spectrum of beliefs coexists.

“There are Luciferians, Satanists, followers of Lilith and Hecate, Wiccans, Santa Muerte devotees, Paleros, and Santeros. There are many types of witches. This is a clubhouse for witches and wizards.”

Lilith Mystery Attic is more than a meeting place; it’s also a café and a center for paranormal activity. Amy explained that the café is open to all visitors, who are welcome to explore its facilities, view artifacts from the founder’s practice, or even receive a spiritual cleaning.

“You might have heard of the Warrens; we do something very similar. Many of the items here were extracted from places with serious problems. We’ve had to go and perform cleanings, and as a result, we have entities, demons, the dead, different spiritualities,” she said.

Patrons can enjoy a unique brew called “Sahumerio,” a coffee made from a specially macerated sage. The creation process is a ritual in itself.

“We potentiate it with quartz, obsidian, and Herkimer diamonds in a ritual with lunar water. We even collect the sage with the proper ceremony,” she said.

Lillith Mystery Attic is located at Río de La Plata Street 2087 in the Altamira neighborhood and is open from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. The clubhouse hosts regular classes, ceremonies, and monthly events.

Amy extends a welcoming hand to all, whether they are seasoned practitioners or simply curious.

“If you are a person who enjoys developing abilities, gifts, and capacities, or seek to open your third eye, you are quite welcome. This is your home, this is your clan. We are waiting for you. And if you are a person who just enjoys coffee, the doors are also open,” she said.
