Baja California managed to decrease the number of patients intubated by COVID-19 this Wednesday, after months, said Health Secretary Alonso Perez Rico during his daily report.
The head of this agency mentioned that 30 days ago there were 169 people with automated mechanical ventilation in the state, so the decrease is clear.
Currently, the hospitals that treat patients with coronavirus in the state report an overall hospital occupancy rate of 34%, in addition to 629 available beds and 206 ventilators.
Although the number of Baja Californians hospitalized due to this disease also decreased to 261, Perez Rico asked not to lower the guard and to continue with the prevention measures.
So far in the pandemic, the number of people who have been infected by COVID-19 in the state is 41 thousand 992, while 6 thousand 946 have lost their lives.
So far the accumulated active cases are 767, and one thousand 544 and more are still suspected.
