TIJUANA This city now has an "app" in English for those interested in visiting.
The application, called the Tijuana Travel Guide, provides key information about the city, including a guide to restaurants and hotels.
It can be downloaded for free by visiting the web site www.tijuanaonline.org or from the App Store, which has versions for the iPhone and Ipad.
"The idea is to promote the city in an innovative way," said Mariano Escobedo, president of Tijuana's tourism bureau, which commissioned the app.
The guide, also available in Spanish, lists nearly 500 businesses and other points of interest, complete with photographs. Users can also use it to make reservations and get travel information and maps. And the application has links to Facebook and Twitter.
"This is a new tool to tell people about the city's attractions," added Escobedo, who announced the mobile application on Thursday.
