Mexican midfielder Fernando Arce along with Xolos manager Antonio Mohamed have been included in the ideal team of this last round of Copa Libertadores.
The Tijuana native had a great game in Brazil topped of with a true "golazo" to lead the Xolos into the historic qualification into quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. Game by game the Xoloitzcuitles have been making a bigger name for themselves in South America.
Antonio "Turco" Mohamed was considered the best manager due to his intelligent and effective game plan against Palmeiras where his team blocked all avenues of danger for the Brazilians, and only through a doubtful penalty was the Palmeiras side able to score.
The two Xolos members share the ideal team with some great players like Gabriel Henize and Maxi Rodriguez of Newlls, Ronaldinho of Atletico Mineiro, and Juan Roman Riquelme of Boca Jrs.m
The complete ideal team is:
Goalkeeper: Diego Carranza (Real Garcilaso)
Defenders: Bruno (Fluminense), Ronaldo Bogada (areal Garcilaso), and Ganriel Heinze (Newell's Old Boys)
Midfielders: Ronaldinho (Atl. Mineiro), FERNANDO ARCE (XOLOS), Maxi Rodriguez (Newell's Old Boys), and Juan Roman Riquelme (Boca Juniors).
Forwards: Fredy Bareiro (Olimpia), Wilder Medina (Santa Fe) and Ignacio Scocco (Newell's Old Boys)
Manager: ANTONIO MOHAMED (XOLOS)
