BAJA CALIFORNIA.- The heat season began on March 19 and will end on October 7, according to the Ministry of Health, Guillermo Trejo Dozal, which has already created a campaign to prevent the negative health impacts.
In view of this, the Pool Monitoring program was launched for the search of free-living ameba, while the Directorate of Protection against Sanitary Risks makes sampling in public and private pools.
On the other hand, Néstor Saúl Hernández Milan, state head of Epidemiology has issued a couple of recommendations to continue during these months in the heat season:
Do not expose yourself to the sun between 11 am and 3 pm
Wear light clothing, light colors and use hat or umbrella for protection
Cover windows that receive sunlight with shades, curtains or newspaper to decrease the interior heat of a house
Do not stay inside a parked or closed vehicle
Avoid food consumption of "dubious origin" on public roads
Eat food immediately after preparation to avoid decay
