Baja California has recorded an average reduction of 41.2% in intentional homicides thanks to the joint efforts of the Government of Mexico, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and the State Government headed by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda.
Governor Marina del Pilar emphasized that security has been a top priority since she took office and reiterated that her government is working closely with federal and municipal authorities to ensure peace and order in the state.

“The reduction in these crime rates is the result of a strategy designed to coordinate efforts across all three levels of government, with the support of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” she stated.
According to official figures, the state has seen a downward trend. Comparing September 2024 to May 2025, there was a 41.2% drop in the daily average of this crime.

In September 2024, the daily average was 7.13 homicides, while by the end of May 2025, the number had dropped to 4.19.
Lastly, Governor Marina del Pilar noted that these results stem from the joint efforts carried out under President Claudia Sheinbaum’s security strategy and the Baja California Security Council. She reaffirmed her commitment to continue collaborating with all three levels of government to ensure the safety of Baja Californian families.
