Baja California has officially added 165 newly trained agents across the State Citizen Security Force, the State Investigation Agency, and various municipal police departments.
The aim is to maintain violence levels low and boost response capacity of security institutions, which requires trained officers with vocation.
The graduation ceremony took place at the State Institute for Prevention and Interdisciplinary Training (IEPFI).
Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda commended the graduates for their commitment to public service and their role in building safer communities.
She emphasized that the administration’s strategy goes beyond training, extending to better working conditions for officers including social security, benefits, and legal protections for both them and their families.
“This government stands with you and your loved ones. We want every officer to know that behind the uniform is a government that values and supports their sacrifice,” she said.
The governor also highlighted the growing number of women joining the force, noting that greater gender diversity enriches the public security model. She acknowledged the crucial support of families, describing them as the backbone behind each officer’s success.
Secretary of Citizen Security Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez stated that the new agents are vital to meeting the increasing operational demands of a growing state.

He added that this graduating class pushes the total number of IEPFI graduates over the past three years past the 800-mark, fulfilling the state’s annual recruitment targets for better-equipped and more disciplined forces.
Speaking on behalf of the new generation of officers, graduate Cristhofer Sebastían Rivera Pavón reaffirmed the class’s commitment to legality, respect, and empathy in their daily interactions with citizens.
The graduating class includes 47 officers for the State Citizen Security Force (41st generation), 43 for the State Investigation Agency (31st generation), and 75 for municipal police departments (47th generation).
