With the goal of expanding educational coverage in an area where demand for school placements is high, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda toured the construction site of a new middle school in Rincones de Puebla that will soon give more young people access to proper spaces for learning, socializing, and personal development.
The project includes 12 teaching classrooms, restroom facilities, a principal’s office, administrative areas, a school cafeteria, a library, a civic plaza and a multipurpose sports court, along with additional spaces designed to improve functionality and safety for students.
With a total investment of 67.4 million pesos, the school also includes two metal canopies for sun and weather protection, a portico, a student drop-off and pick-up area, and exterior works and facades.
The governor emphasized that expanding educational infrastructure means creating more opportunities for children and young people to continue their studies close to home and enjoy better conditions for building their future.
Joaquín Armando Vale Ríos, general director of the Physical Educational Infrastructure Institute of Baja California (INIFE BC), said the work is progressing on schedule, with close attention paid to the quality of the spaces and school community needs.
The event was attended by Secretary of Education Irma Martínez Manríquez; Undersecretary of Basic Education Ana Catalina Avila Sosa y Silva; school principal René Morales Ramírez; and mothers, fathers, and community representatives.
The new middle school will bring educational facilities closer to the areas of greatest demand, helping students stay in school and creating better conditions for learning and Shared Well-Being.
