Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar announced that the Baja California Digital Agency has been awarded a top national prize for technological innovation, recognized for its “Ventanilla Digital BC” platform that has dramatically streamlined government services for citizens. The agency received the award in the Public Sector category at the “Mexico’s Most Innovative 2025” competition, an annual ceremony organized by Netmedia Group that honors the most impactful IT projects across the country.
“It is a great pride that our actions to provide better services to citizens are recognized at a national level. This award, considered the ‘Oscars of Innovation,’ demonstrates that we are delivering results that improve people’s experience when carrying out their procedures,” the governor said.

The platform is a cornerstone of the governor’s agenda to create a more efficient, digital-first government. Since its implementation, it has allowed residents to complete official procedures remotely, eliminating the need for in-person visits to government offices.
The governor also highlighted the tangible benefits of the system, which include the elimination of long queues and wait times, a significant reduction in costs for paper, printing, and storage, and a notable increase in revenue collection for the state.

Governor Marina del Pilar thanked Netmedia Group as “Mexico’s Most Innovative” contest distinguishes leading technological projects in both the public and private sectors, with categories spanning artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cloud computing.
The award was accepted on behalf of the state government by Gabriel Palombo, General Director of the Baja California Digital Agency. At the ceremony, Palombo reiterated the administration’s commitment to consolidating an innovative government with timely solutions to the population’s needs through the use of technology.
