Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, governor of Baja California, announced that the distribution of the second check from the Adultos Mayores (Senior Citizens) program has begun across the state’s seven municipalities.

The governor explained that the bimonthly benefit of 2,600 pesos is aimed at residents aged 60 to 64, who received their first payment in August.

The Adultos Mayores program is promoted by the state government in coordination with the Department of Welfare.

To receive the benefit, eligible participants must visit their corresponding welfare office in any of the seven municipalities.

Ávila Olmeda added that beneficiaries will receive a phone call before their appointment with details about the process. They must bring an official ID to ensure efficient and orderly service.

“Let no one be left out of Baja California’s transformation — including our seniors, who, as vulnerable individuals, are a priority for this administration, which always places the needs of those who need it most at the center,” the governor stated.
