Baja California keeps the celebrations going, this time earning national recognition at the México Desconocido awards during the Tianguis Turístico 2025, thanks to its Corazones Viajeros (Traveler Hearts) program.
Launched with support from the Baja California government and its Tourism Secretariat (SECTURE), the program was named Best Social and Accessible Tourism Initiative.
What is Corazones Viajeros?
This program encourages local tourism within the state, covering half the cost of each trip. Every participant receives a $1,500 pesos travel voucher and pays the remaining $1,500 themselves.
Tours depart from Tijuana and Mexicali and include a two-day, one-night itinerary with round-trip ground transportation from Autobuses ABC.
Tickets are available at Autobuses ABC offices in the bus terminals of both cities.
Tours Departing from Tijuana
From Tijuana, travelers can choose the “Flavors and Roots” tour to Valle de Guadalupe. This route includes visits to Santo Tomás and Cetto wineries, the Vine and Wine Museum, and the Siñaw Kuatay ecotourism site.
The “Kumiai Route” takes visitors to Tecate, a designated Pueblo Mágico, with stops at Miguel Hidalgo Park, the Vallecitos archaeological site, the Community Museum, and Campo Alaska Museum.
Tours Departing from Mexicali
From Mexicali, travelers can choose from two routes to San Felipe.
“Aventura y Sabor San Felipe” includes visits to San Felipe Brewing, Rancho Percebú, and a tour of El Salar.
Meanwhile, “Disfruta San Felipe” features a stop at Chateau Winery, the Puertecitos hot springs, and a visit to El Salar.
Tianguis Turístico 2025 Continues
Activities at the Tianguis Turístico 2025 continue, and starting Thursday, May 1, the event will be open to the public at the Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito.
