The government of Baja California has invited Baja Californians to contribute by becoming altruistic donors, since this is an act that can potentially save lives; this occurs on National Organ Transplant and Donation Day.

During the 45th edition of “Wednesday Morning Press Conference” led by Secretary of the Interior Catalino Zavala Marquez in the city of Tijuana, the Secretary of Health, José Adrián Medina Amarillas explained that the promotion and spread of cases where people have saved lives through an organ transplant is an incentive for public participation, since a donation can save the lives of a lot of people.

Medina Amarillas considered that it is important to promote the culture of donation among the population in order to save the lives of those who need an organ to live. As such, the Secretary of Health highlighted the coordination that exists between the National Center of Transplants (CENATRA) to strengthen the program in Baja California.
