Baja Californian products stand out at trade event in Tampa Bay, Florida

The Secretariat of Economy and Innovation (SEI) of Baja California began activities as part of the Internationalization Convoy of Mexican Municipalities, Florida Chapter, promoted by the Secretariat of Foreign Relations (SRE).

The Subsecretary of Economic Promotion of Baja California, Michelle Guerrero Jaimes, informed that the training center at aerospace company Boeing was visited and that they were welcomed by the Orlando Municipal Administration and mayor Buddy Dyer.

The official said that there was a reception later for the committee offered by the Mexican Consulate in Orlando, where Consul Juan José Sabines Guerrero spoke about opportunities provided by economic and cultural cooperation.

With a ceremony, the “Mexico Trade Show” was inaugurated in Tampa Bay, focused on gathering buyers and sellers of Mexican products through one-on-one meetings to do business, where they obtained 30 potential contacts that could open new distribution channels, such as “Mexican Flavors”, to place Baja Californian products in hotels of Mexican cuisine around the world.

The official explained that among the buyers at this business exhibition there were Mexican food distribution companies such as “New Day Food Company” that will open a hallway about Mexico in 300 Winn Dixie shops, vegetable, wine, and processed food distributors for restaurants, food truck and supermarket buyers, and Mexican drink and liquor distributors for restaurants.

Guerrero Jaimes stated:

Baja Californian companies that participated here have played a huge role and we’ll soon see results regarding contracts to reach new markets by Salsas La Perrona, Rancho el Jon, Cervecería Fauna, and Baja Brew Masters, who were promoting their products.

Lastly, SEI pointed out that it will continue to open spaces so that state producers can participate, do business, and contribute to the economy and power of the industry.
