Visitors to Balboa Park will enjoy free parking this Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The complimentary parking applies to all municipal holiday schedules, with the exception of the San Diego Zoo’s lots.
This comes after the city of San Diego recently implemented new paid parking systems at other popular public venues, including Petco Park and sections of Balboa Park itself.
For those visiting on regular weekdays, free parking for up to three hours remains available in certain areas, such as Lower Inspiration Point at Presidents Way and Park Boulevard.
