The beer of the week is La Oriental by Cerveza Funes. It had been a while since I had tried out this beer, but a couple of weeks ago I rediscovered it at the Tijuana Beer Fest and recalled how much I liked it. A light and refreshing beer, apparently designed precisely with hot days in mind.
The Oriental by Cerveza Funes is a dry ale resulting from the the rice base. It is smooth and refreshing and you can taste the mixture of malt and the bitterness of the Sake. The hay color and fruit aromas would pair perfectly with ceviche, and would be pefect for a day at the beach.
