The third annual Hispanic Business Showcase will be held on April 19 in Oceanside with the goal of bringing together companies in the region that want to reach the Latino market.

Some 1,500 people are expected to attend the event, organized by the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce.

Participants will get the opportunity to meet potential clients, providers or distributors, as well as establish greater awareness for their firms.

The showcase will present 85 exhibitors, although a few spots still are available.

Tayde Aburto, cofounder of the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce, said that the event brings together all types of business chambers that want to reach the Latino market, not just ones with Hispanic members.

"The idea is to open doors, for all businesses to learn how to reach the Hispanic market," he said.

He said there also will be a "mixer" featuring products from ten restaurants and five breweries from the region.

"It's a great opportunity for business people to meet each other and exchange cards," he said.

The showcase will be held at Pacific Coast Business Park in Oceanside on April 19 from 2 to 9 p.m.
