Plascencia highlighted the fact that this Festival is yet another contribution to the revitalization of Avenida Revolucion and its burgeoning cultural, culinary, entrepreneurship, and technological projects, among many other things.

He indicated that Caesar's Salad is iconic for this city and that it should be celebrated as part of our heritage and identity. He also indicated that

the Caesar Salad is in the process of being named an Intangible Heritage of the State of Baja California.

According to Alan Bautista, Head of the Tourism and Conventions Department, "statistics show that slowly but surely tourists from Southern California, primarily hispanics and asians, are returning to downtown Tijuana. We are witnessing many interesting construction projects that will give a facelift to this area, so that tourists will be better able to visit and enjoy the city."
