The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a forecast indicating a chance of snow for parts of California this weekend.
A light storm system moving through the region is expected to bring snowfall primarily to higher elevations.

According to the NWS, snow levels are predicted to drop to between 6,500 and 7,500 feet during the afternoon and evening of Sunday, January 4th.
Residents and visitors in areas like Big Bear, Idyllwild, and Wrightwood may witness light snowfall, with accumulations of an inch or less anticipated. These locations will likely be among the few to see any measurable snow from this system.
