Camp Pendleton has announced a series of live-fire training exercises scheduled throughout the week, which may result in significant noise heard by surrounding communities at any time of day or night.
According to the San Diego-based military installation, the exercises are set to begin this Saturday, March 21, at midnight and will continue until Sunday, March 29, at 11:59 p.m.

The public has been advised that the training activities could generate noise around the clock and encouraged residents to stay informed about the scheduled events.

Noise-Generating Event Schedule
Saturday, March 21 – Sunday, March 23
Live-fire mortars and artillery operations, running 24 hours a day. High-explosive munitions will be used in the Whiskey/Zulu impact areas.
Tuesday, March 24
Live-fire mortars from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., with high-explosive munitions launched in the Whiskey/Zulu impact areas.
Wednesday, March 25 – Friday, March 27
Live-fire mortars operating 24 hours daily, with high-explosive munitions in the Whiskey/Zulu impact areas.
Saturday, March 28 – Sunday, March 29
Live-fire mortars from 6:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., featuring high-explosive munitions in the Whiskey/Zulu impact areas.
