Claudia Horta of Casta de Vinos is representing Mexico on March 1 and 2 at EuroVinos 2026, a wine industry event held in Germany.
In a post on Instagram, the winemaker said it is her first time attending the event. She is not only showcasing Mexican wines but also highlighting the work of women making wine in Spain.
Over the two-day event, Mexico’s pavilion is presenting four concepts that reflect its identity and cross-border spirit.

Casta de Vinos is featuring its traditional labels, some of which are served in Michelin-starred restaurants. Te la Exprimo focuses on minimal-intervention wines made with native yeasts. La Disruptiva operates as a legally established winery in Spain with Mexican roots. The portfolio also includes premium canned wines made with eco-friendly practices and a sparkling DO Cava Reserva Guarda Superior aged 24 months on the lees.
On Sunday, March 1, Horta and her team participated in B2B meetings aimed at expanding into the Scandinavian market. That evening, they joined a networking dinner in support of Consul Cecilia Villanueva, with their wines served during the event.

On Monday, the group hosted a tasting for 100 buyers and presented an orange wine aged 15 months in French oak barrels.
The appearance marks another step for Baja California producers seeking to strengthen their presence in the European market.
