CBP Seizes Nearly 150 Pounds of Meth at Tecate Port of Entry

The drugs, totalling 69.85 kilos or 153.92 pounds, were discovered hidden inside the vehicle.

CBP officers at the Tecate port of entry seized nearly 70 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden inside a vehicle attempting to cross into the United States.

According to Sidney Aki, Director of Field Operations in San Diego, the officers discovered the drugs concealed in various parts of the vehicle.

The narcotics had a total weight of 69.85 kilos (153.92 pounds).

Aki noted that the federal investigation into the seizure is ongoing.

“Keeping our communities safer!” he concluded in a statement.
