SAN DIEGO Even though Cross Border Xpress doors opened in December of last year, the official inauguration was held today in San Diego with Tijuana and San Diego officials doing the honors.
Since the beginning of its operation, the bridge that connects the Tijuana International Airport with San Diego transportation services, has been used by more than 300,000 flight passengers, this according to the head of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico Committee, Laura Díez Barroso.
8 years and 120 million dollars later, this unique border-crossing operation is the first of its kind for both countries.
