October is the month of costumes, scares, pumpkins, and witches—but it’s also the perfect time to enjoy the horror film genre, especially for those who love the festive spirit of the season. The Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT) will host a series of screenings featuring everything from generation-defining classics to groundbreaking modern horror films.

In collaboration with Macabro, Mexico City’s International Horror Film Festival, and as part of CECUT’s 43rd anniversary, audiences can enjoy the International Horror Film Showcase at Cineteca Tijuana from October 24 to 30. The lineup includes national and international premieres, as well as iconic titles that continue to haunt even the bravest viewers.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Carlos Monsiváis Theater once again celebrates the art of cinema, opening its doors to dozens of visitors who flock to enjoy the Seventh Art during the fall and winter seasons—when horror films reign supreme.
