The State Center for the Arts (CEART) Playas de Rosarito has kicked off its 10th anniversary celebrations with an educational concert by the Wind Quintet of the Baja California Orchestra (OBC). The performance marked the beginning of a series of cultural activities designed to celebrate ten years dedicated to the training, promotion, and enrichment of the region’s cultural life.
The ensemble offered a close and educational experience centered on chamber music, introducing audiences to the unique timbres, expressive possibilities, and sonic dialogue of wind instruments in a format accessible to all.
According to the venue’s Cultural Coordinator Marco Nuño, this programming reflects the importance of creating spaces that strengthen the bond between art and the community.
“Over these ten years, we have worked consistently to promote cultural development, providing access to quality artistic offerings and encouraging public participation.”
To celebrate this milestone with the community, CEART has prepared a diverse lineup that includes theater, dance, music, and exhibitions. Highlights include the play A ti, ¿qué te tocó? on Tuesday the 14th, as well as the 10th anniversary ceremony, and the opening of the exhibition CEART X, Memoria Viva on Thursday the 16th.
The community of Playas de Rosarito and visitors are invited to attend the commemorative ceremony on April 16 at 3:00 p.m., and to be part of this moment celebrating a decade of art and culture in the fifth municipality of Baja California.
On Friday the 17th, the Spring Concert will take place featuring the Tijuana Youth Symphony Orchestra. The program will continue throughout the year with various stage and musical performances.
