On November 1, 2020, the Ministry of Health in Mexico invité the general population to avoid leaving their homes during the celebration of Day of the Dead, since cemeteries are spaces that represent a risk of COVID-19.

The tradition of the Day of the Dead is of great cultural significance. Millions of people will celebrate as a family, but they are invited to honor the dead from home.

The secretariat details that, there is a need to raise awareness of the risk posed by the congregation of people in public spaces, since the epidemic is still active.

During this celebration – October 31st, November 1st and 2nd – there are usually family gatherings, but we must be aware that we can catch or spread COVID-19 even if we don't have symptoms.

If you want more information about it, check the website.
